Road Trippin’ for American Wellness
Last week I decided that I needed to do something different for a change – you know, kind of mix things up a little. And though it may appear spontaneous from an outside perspective, this trip has been a long time coming.
Without getting into all the details (plenty of time for that when I’m on the road and have nothing else to do!), the whole genesis of this trip arose from the value I put on physical, mental, and spiritual health. Daily front page news of the current health care crisis in the US got me thinking that if we as a nation did a better job of maintaining sound physical, mental, and spiritual health, sure, we would probably still have a crisis on our hands, but we’d also have fewer kids developing type two diabetes, fewer Americans dying of heart disease, cancer, and so on.
So it was with all of that in mind that I decided to take a trip across the US to see what’s going on everywhere else (i.e. outside of the SF Bay Area). The itinerary for this trip is flexible, though after I depart from Malibu, CA (August 10th), each day I plan to hit up a gym, stop by some NFL training camps along the route, hang out in DFW for a day or two, and then catch some rays with some hot bodies in Miami’s South Beach. After that I’m just going with the flow and will either cruise up the eastern seaboard or head back to Cali through the middle of the US. If I’m going to be in your area, definitely send me a shout!
Be sure to check out an interactive map of my stops, the live channel for streaming video straight from the road, and follow me on Twitter for updates on my status!
Anyway, thanks for joining me on this trip; your comments, feedback, and ideas are all appreciated!
Sincerely,
Devin C. Holloway
